Participation Rules for the 2026 Floral Xcellence Awards

Eligibility 

  • Participants must be registered attendees of the 2026 Floral Distribution Conference. If you’re not yet registered to attend our 2026 Floral Distribution Conference, go here to register.
  • Breeder entries must not yet be commercially available. 
  • Grower category entries must be commercially available floral varieties. 
  • Breeders may also enter commercial categories if the variety is in production at the commercial level in at least one farm and has an established name. 
  • If 10+ entries of the same variety are received for a particular variety in the other category (i.e, chrysanthemums, lisianthus, anthurium), it will become its own standalone category. 

Entry Fees

  • $200 per entry, limited to 5 entries per company.  
  • No refunds.

Submission Requirements 

  • Up to 12 stems or three samples of potted varieties. 
  • All entries must be set up on-site by the participant or incur an additional setup fee of $125. 

Display Rules 

  • Entries cannot include dyed or artificially tinted products. 
  • No decorative props or promotional materials allowed. 
  • Each application must clearly state the name and variety of the entry.  

Judging

  • Judging will take place on Monday, March 2, 2026, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at our 2026 Floral Distribution Conference.
  • Scores are averaged from all judges’ evaluations. 

Deadlines

  • Submission and payment deadline: Friday, February 27, 2026.
  • On-site setup must be completed by Monday, March 2, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.

Important Note: The 2026 Floral Xcellence Awards will be given out during our 2026 Floral Distribution Conference, happening March 1-4, in Miami. You must be a WFFSA member company and be registered to attend our Floral Distribution Conference in order to submit an entry.
