Bouquets of Love: Sharing the Power of Flowers at El Nido School

In line with The Flower Movement’s purpose of sharing the power of flowers with others in the industry and our community, Golden Flowers spent the day at El Nido, a rural school in the mountains of El Carmen de Viboral, Antioquia, Colombia.

We brought along pompons and chrysanthemums grown just a few miles away, and invited the kids to create small bouquets for someone they love. For many, it was their first time working with fresh flowers, but they quickly got involved, choosing colors, tying ribbons and writing short notes with real emotion.

The activity was part of their Family Day celebration, and the bouquets became simple but meaningful gifts, delivered with shy smiles and hugs. We’ve been working with El Nido since 2021, and over the years, our connection with the school has continued to grow. Moments like this are a reminder of the impact flowers can have, not just visually, but emotionally and personally too.
